Stirrings Of Life

I’m not dead, at least not yet, although I’m beginning to think that the universe takes my continued existence as a personal insult and is determined to rectify this situation via all manner of karmic retribution. I soldier on, however, as is my way.

This is just a brief update to let you all know that I do intend to start updating regularly, again, and that there are a few changes in the works. The particularly observant among you may notice that I’ve made a slight alteration to the post templates: they now include author information. As you probably guessed this is because I intend to go back to the roots of this site, so to speak, and bring on a few more posters.

The intention is not to stop posting or even to keep posting at the anemic rate I have been lately. The goal is simply to bring in a few interesting people who can, I hope, help the site average a minimum of four updates a week. I am also hoping that it will motivate me to keep up and, thus, afford you more content to peruse.

I will be leaving early tomorrow for a short trip around the Keweenaw and other scattered parts of the Upper Peninsula. The length of the trip is indeterminate, although various things like “money” and “getting sick of sleeping in my Saturn” will no doubt enforce their own arbitrary constraints. This is a bit of a head-clearing attempt; some time spent exploring, being outside and seeing fresh sights. It’s my hope that when I return my state of mind will be considerably improved and I can get back to handling my business, as Steven A. would say.

The plan is to officially bring the new posting crew into the fold when I get back, although their logins are already set up and they may post before then, if they feel motivated.
